Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates Aikou and Flora have won automatic places in the finale through the first “The Gambit” vote.
Aikou, a 25-year-old freelance teacher and web developer from Abuja, won the male category with 9.10 per cent of the votes. Ricky received 7.30 per cent, while Abi polled 6.07 per cent.
Flora, a makeup entrepreneur from Delta State, led the female category with 29.38 per cent.
The result guarantees both contestants a place in the finale, but they can no longer win the ₦160 million grand prize.
Biggie explained the trade-off before the vote.
“Should you be selected, you will be gifted longevity in the Big Brother house, guaranteeing you a place in the game until the end of the season.”
He added:
“You will not be competing for the grand prize.”
Despite losing their chance at the cash prize, Aikou and Flora will continue taking part in the competition and follow Big Brother’s rules.
The organisers have also assigned the pair special tasks for the week.
Current Head of House Chimsom Chuka did not take part in the vote.
BBNaija Season 11 started on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for the ₦160 million prize.
