Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr P, has gained 1 million YouTube subscribers and sold nearly 3,000 Red ZR caps in one week.
First Nigerian learnt that Mr P’s YouTube subscribers increased from about 777,000 to more than 1 million as his video series about the P-Square dispute gained attention.
His song I Can’t Look Away has also passed 3.7 million views on YouTube, while his Spotify monthly listeners have exceeded 500,000.
Mr P also said his fashion brand, Zipp Republic, sold almost 3,000 Red ZR snapback caps within seven days.
“We sold almost 3,000 caps in seven days,” Mr P said while thanking customers for supporting the brand.
The singer said the orders put pressure on his team as demand increased.
The Red ZR snapback sells for ₦20,000 on the brand’s online store, according to Premium Times.
Mr P also said Zipp Republic will expand into gym wear, sportswear and children’s clothing.
Meanwhile, the singer continues to release an eight-part video series about the dispute involving his twin brother, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
P-Square split in 2017 before Peter and Paul reunited in 2021. However, the brothers separated again in 2024 after another disagreement.
Mr P has continued his solo music career while developing Zipp Republic.
