Police Recruitment 2026: How To Check Shortlist, Documents Needed, Training Information

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has published the list of successful candidates in the 2026 recruitment of 50,000 police constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

Candidates who sat the written examination can check their status on the official PSC recruitment portal from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, 16 July 2026. The Commission will also send emails and text messages to successful applicants.

How To Check The Police Recruitment 2026 Shortlist

Visit the official PSC recruitment portal and log in with the details you used during your application.

If your application is successful, download and print your training call-up slip.

The Commission said the portal opens at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, 16 July 2026.

What If I Did Not Receive An SMS Or Email?

You can still check your status on the recruitment portal.

The PSC said it will notify successful candidates by email and text message. However, candidates do not need to wait for a notification before checking the portal.

Can I Still Log In To The Recruitment Portal?

Yes. Anyone who took the written examination can log in and check their recruitment status once the portal goes live.

Documents Needed For Police Recruitment Training

Successful candidates must report to their assigned Police Training Institutions with the required documents for documentation and medical screening.

The PSC asked candidates to bring:

• Training call-up slip
• National Identification Number (NIN) slip
• Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip
• Original academic certificates
• Photocopies of academic certificates
• Any other documents listed on the recruitment portal

Candidates should check the portal for any additional requirements before reporting.

When Will Police Recruitment Training Begin?

The PSC said it will announce the reporting dates and times later.

Successful candidates will complete documentation and medical screening before training begins.

What Happens If I Miss My Reporting Date?

The Commission said candidates who fail to report within the specified period will lose their offer of appointment.

The Police Medical Team will examine all successful candidates after they arrive at their training institutions. Candidates who fail the medical examination will not continue with the recruitment process.

PSC Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 police constables.
