Nigerian TikTok creator Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has addressed comments about her recent weight gain after fans noticed changes in her appearance following her traditional wedding with fellow content creator Peller.
Photos and videos from the couple’s Lagos ceremony showed Jarvis with a fuller figure, leading to pregnancy rumours among some social media users. Some fans also questioned whether the wedding happened earlier because of the claims.
Jarvis denied the rumours during a TikTok livestream and said her body change came from weight gain medication she has been taking.
“Make una no dey talk that belle thing, e don dey vex me. No be bad thing for person to get belle but I no get,” Jarvis said.
The content creator added that she had already told her followers about her weight gain process.
“I told you people that I’m taking weight gain. I don’t want to talk about this issue. I need to be serious,” she said.
Following her statement, attention shifted to the reason behind her physical change instead of the pregnancy claims. Jarvis urged people to stop linking every change in her appearance to pregnancy.
The TikTok star and Peller recently held their traditional wedding in Lagos, where their relationship attracted comments from fans online.
Jarvis and Peller gained popularity through their online content and have remained among Nigeria’s most followed young creators on TikTok.
