Arsenal have asked Galatasaray about Victor Osimhen during talks involving Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, according to reports.
Sky Sports, citing The Telegraph, reports that Arsenal raised Osimhen’s availability while the clubs discussed Martinelli and Nwaneri. The talks have not produced an agreement for the Nigeria striker.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli in 2025 after spending the previous season on loan in Turkey. Galatasaray paid a reported €75 million for the striker, who signed a contract until 2029.
Galatasaray Pursue Martinelli And Nwaneri
Meanwhile, Galatasaray have made Martinelli a transfer target and have reportedly offered about £38.5 million for the Arsenal winger.
Martinelli has not agreed to the move. TalkSPORT reports that the Brazil international wants to stay in London despite Galatasaray’s interest.
Galatasaray have also included Nwaneri in their recruitment plans. The 19-year-old returned to Arsenal after spending part of last season on loan at Marseille, and the Turkish club have joined other teams monitoring his situation.
Osimhen Enters Possible Swap Deal
The talks have also produced reports of a possible exchange involving Osimhen and Martinelli.
The Guardian reported that Arsenal had been offered the chance to involve Osimhen in a deal for Martinelli, with Nwaneri potentially included in the arrangement.
However, the report did not say that Arsenal accepted the proposal or that either club agreed terms for the transfer.
Arteta has also confirmed that Arsenal still want to make further additions before the transfer window closes.
“There is more that we want to do,” the Arsenal manager said after the draw with Como.
“We’re actively trying to do so – the thing is, in the market, it doesn’t just depend on you.”
For now, Arsenal have discussed Osimhen with Galatasaray while the Turkish club continues to pursue Martinelli and Nwaneri. No agreement has been reported for the Nigeria striker.
