Former P-Square stars Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, have revived their long-running family dispute after Peter made new claims about the events that surrounded his marriage to Lola Omotayo.
Peter, better known as Mr P, shared the claims in the latest episode of his video series, where he said opposition to his relationship with Lola created deep divisions within the Okoye family long before P-Square split again.
According to the singer, a family meeting took place at his Omole home shortly after the birth of his first son. Peter alleged that his late mother, brothers and family pastors confronted the couple during the gathering.
“Young woman, we the Okoye family have decided that you should leave our son alone,” Peter recalled his late mother telling Lola.
Peter said no one offered him or Lola a seat, so both sat on the floor throughout the meeting. He also alleged that Jude Okoye made a derogatory remark about their infant son, leaving Lola in tears before she left the house.
The singer further claimed that Jude and Rudeboy opposed Lola’s pregnancy before their son was born.
“Nothing that Jude and Paul didn’t do for Lola to take that pregnancy out,” Peter alleged.
Peter also dismissed claims that Lola had a strained relationship with his late mother. Instead, he said his wife cared for her during illness, stayed with her in hospital until late at night and helped take visiting pastors home each day for more than two months. Peter added that his mother later acknowledged his son as her grandson and asked Paul and Jude to apologise, but the apology never came.
Soon afterwards, Rudeboy posted a short message on social media without mentioning Peter by name.
“Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.”
Although Rudeboy did not address Peter’s allegations, many readers interpreted the post as a defence of their late mother.
The latest exchange adds another twist to a dispute that has lasted for years. Peter has previously accused elder brother Jude Okoye of financial misconduct, issuing threats against him and attempting to take control of jointly owned property in Atlanta. Jude has denied key allegations and has maintained that several matters are already before the court.
Peter’s latest episode places the spotlight on his marriage rather than the business disagreements that dominated earlier stages of the feud, giving fans a different account of the personal conflicts that continue to divide the famous brothers.
