The National Youth Service Corps has warned prospective corps members against travelling to their orientation camps at night ahead of the next orientation exercise.
The NYSC gave the warning on Monday, August 3, 2026, on its X handle while outlining requirements that candidates must meet before arriving at camp.
NYSC Camp Guidelines on Graduation Date Errors
Candidates must ensure that the graduation date on their call-up letters matches the date on their statements of results.
The NYSC said officials will not register candidates whose documents contain different graduation dates. Those affected must contact their Student Affairs Officers and correct the discrepancy before reporting to camp.
Candidates should also print and sign their registration forms before travelling. They must submit the signed forms during registration at the orientation camp.
How to Correct Date of Birth on NYSC Dashboard
Candidates who need to correct their dates of birth can apply through their NYSC dashboards using a 19- or 20-digit WAEC Verification PIN.
To begin, applicants should select “Correction of Date of Birth” on the dashboard, enter the WAEC Verification PIN, choose their WAEC examination type and examination year, and provide their examination number.
After entering the required details, candidates can complete the verification and submit the correction request.
The NYSC has asked prospective corps members to settle document-related issues before travelling and avoid night journeys when heading to their assigned camps.
