Arsenal have reportedly offered Viktor Gyökeres and €30m to Galatasaray in an attempt to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Turkish journalist Ömer Faruk Özcan, via Nexus Sports, reported that senior Arsenal officials travelled to Istanbul to discuss the proposal. Galatasaray rejected the offer and refused to consider exchanging Osimhen for Gyökeres plus cash.
The Turkish champions value Osimhen at between €130m and €150m, according to the report. His performances since joining the club have strengthened their position in negotiations.
Osimhen has scored 59 goals and supplied 16 assists in 74 appearances for Galatasaray across all competitions.
The Nigeria international helped the club win consecutive Turkish Super Lig titles and has also delivered goals in the Champions League.
Galatasaray signed Osimhen permanently from Napoli in July 2025 for €75m. The Nigerian agreed a four-year contract that runs until June 2029.
His reported package includes about €21m net per season through salary, loyalty bonuses and image-rights payments.
Arsenal’s proposal would have sent Gyökeres to Galatasaray as part of the deal for Osimhen.
The Swedish striker joined Arsenal from Sporting CP in 2025, while the Premier League club have continued to monitor Osimhen.
Sporting director Andrea Berta previously travelled to Istanbul to watch the Nigerian forward, and Arsenal have now returned with a formal proposal, according to the report.
Tottenham have also shown interest in Osimhen.
Despite the transfer speculation, Osimhen has continued preparations with Galatasaray. He has held talks with coach Okan Buruk and club officials and returned for pre-season training.
The Nigerian striker therefore remains under contract in Istanbul, while Arsenal must find an offer that Galatasaray will accept if they want to take him to England.
