Real Madrid are prepared to let Vinicius Junior leave this summer if the Brazilian rejects their final contract renewal offer, with Arsenal monitoring the situation.

Vinicius has one year left on his current deal, and ESPN reports that Real Madrid have no plans to improve their latest proposal. The 26-year-old is due back at Valdebebas on Monday after his post-World Cup holiday.

Arsenal have been studying the financial requirements of a possible deal and believe they could have a chance if Vinicius decides to leave Madrid. However, a source close to the player said there has been no direct contact with the Gunners.

Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 and has scored in two Champions League finals. He finished second in the 2024 Ballon d’Or voting.

The winger also had a difficult spell last season under Xabi Alonso and reacted angrily after being substituted during a Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid now face a decision over whether to keep negotiating or accept a transfer if Vinicius rejects their final offer. Arsenal are watching closely.
