Lady Gaga has welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, according to Page Six. The report followed photographs of the couple in Northern California, where Gaga carried an infant.
PEOPLE later cited a source confirming the birth. The couple have not released the baby’s name, sex or date of birth.
The news comes after Gaga completed her Mayhem Ball tour in April 2026. The nine-month tour included 86 shows.
Gaga had also spent recent months away from regular public appearances. She was seen in Northern California in August when she stopped for a selfie with a fan.
The singer first spoke about wanting children in a December 2019 YouTube video. “I want to do more movies, I want to have babies,” she said while discussing her 10-year plans.
Gaga returned to the subject in a March 2025 interview with The New York Times. “I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it,” she said.
She also discussed the challenge of combining parenthood with her career. “How do I live a life where I’m passionate about my art while also making more space for other things?” she asked.
In October 2025, Gaga told Stephen Colbert that motherhood remained her main personal ambition. “What I really want, is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope,” she said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019 and became engaged in 2024. Gaga confirmed their engagement when she referred to Polansky as her fiancé during the Paris Olympics.
Two days before the baby report, Gaga and Polansky had not married. The couple therefore remain engaged, according to the latest reports.
