Nigerian DJ and producer Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, has shown off a new look after leaving behind her signature pink wigs.
First Nigerian reports that Cuppy shared the new appearance on social media while saying goodbye to the pink wigs she has worn for years.
The DJ has changed her hairstyle several times. In 2023, she appeared in a black wig with pink highlights after wearing pink hair for an extended period.
“Yep. It’s me. Black hair. I know it’s weird,” she wrote at the time.
Cuppy also discussed her decision to cut her hair in 2022. She described the decision as difficult and said she wanted to make her own choices about her appearance.
“Going bald was a scary and bold move for me,” she said.
She later told Kiddwaya that she did not want people to expect her to maintain one particular image.
“If I don’t want to be this premium princess with pink long hair and wearing dresses all the time, so be it,” Cuppy said.
Her latest hairstyle change follows those earlier switches between short hair, black wigs and pink hairstyles.
The DJ’s pink hair became one of her most recognisable looks, but her latest post shows that she has moved on from the pink wigs.
Cuppy has now introduced fans to a different hairstyle while ending her latest pink hair chapter.
