Tottenham Hotspur have received approval to pursue Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add another forward to his squad.
According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham could offer Galatasaray between £50 million and £55 million for the 27-year-old. Galatasaray want closer to £65 million, leaving the clubs about £10 million apart.
Osimhen currently plays for Galatasaray after completing a permanent transfer from Napoli in 2025. The Turkish club had previously taken him on loan before making the move permanent.
The Nigeria international has also attracted interest through his performances in Turkey. He scored 22 goals for Galatasaray last season and helped the club secure another Turkish league title.

Now, Tottenham have entered the race as they continue a major squad overhaul.
Spurs have already spent more than £230 million on new players this summer. The spending follows two consecutive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League, with the club narrowly avoiding relegation last season.
De Zerbi now wants more goals from his attack, while uncertainty surrounds Richarlison’s future.
The Tottenham manager recently admitted that he does not know whether Richarlison will remain at the club. The Brazilian scored 12 goals last season, but his comments about staying or leaving have created uncertainty over his next move.
That situation has increased Tottenham’s interest in Osimhen.
The Nigerian would arrive with experience from the Premier League, Serie A and Turkish football, while his record in front of goal would give De Zerbi another option for leading the attack.
However, Galatasaray have no immediate reason to accept Tottenham’s current proposal.
Osimhen signed a contract with the Turkish club that runs until June 2029, and reports indicate that the agreement contains no release clause. Galatasaray can therefore negotiate directly with Tottenham over any potential transfer.
The next step depends on whether Spurs increase their offer.
A deal at £65 million would make Osimhen one of the biggest purchases of Tottenham’s summer rebuild and could give the Nigeria striker a return to English football.
