Moses Bliss was born Moses Uyoh Enang, but he is more commonly known by that stage name. He’s a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader, and he also runs his own record label. He was born on 20 February 1995 in Abuja, but his roots are in Akwa Ibom State.

Music has been part of his life from way back. As a kid, he was already learning and playing different instruments like the piano, drums, guitar and trumpet. He also spent a lot of time in church choirs and worship sessions, and that’s really what shaped his sound and pushed him fully into gospel and worship music.

Family Background

Moses Bliss’ parents are Mr and Mrs Uyoh Enang. His mother, Paulina Uyoh, is a civil servant and businesswoman who supported him a lot while he was starting music.

Not much is known about his father, who is just referred to as Mr Uyoh Enang. Moses is the oldest of three children.

His younger brother, King Imoh, is trying to build a career as a rapper and music producer. He also has a younger sister, Inyene Sunshine, who is involved in music too, as a singer and songwriter within Christ Embassy’s music.

Also, Moses has twin cousins, Victor Michael and Victoria Michael.

Education

Moses Bliss did all his schooling in Nigeria. He finished both primary and secondary school, earning the standard certificates that students get at each level. He went to St Patrick’s Primary School in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, where he also joined church music activities.

After that, he continued his education in Abuja. He attended JSS Mpape Secondary School in Abuja and later went to a boarding school in Pyakasa, Abuja. He completed his secondary education at Government Secondary School in Abuja around 2011.

After secondary school, he went to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), a federal university that offers flexible distance learning programmes. He graduated from NOUN and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Moses Bliss Music Career

Moses Bliss started his music career in 2017 when he released his first song, “E No Dey Fall My Hand.” This song was his first step into professional music, but it did not make him famous yet. His big break came in 2019 with the release of “Too Faithful.”

This song became very popular in Nigeria and beyond, and it helped him become well-known in the gospel music world. Moses Bliss makes music that mixes modern gospel with African rhythms, pop and worship sounds, so it feels devotional and uplifting but still easy for many people to enjoy.

His songs often talk about God’s faithfulness, love, grace and encouragement, which is why they are loved in churches and for personal worship.

By 2024, his music had been played hundreds of millions of times on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Boomplay and Audiomack. His song “You Are Great” reached more than 50 million streams, and several other songs also got tens of millions of plays.

Because of this, some reports described him as one of Africa’s most-streamed gospel artists, showing how his music connects traditional worship with modern listeners.

In October 2021, he signed with Symphonic Distribution, a global company in Florida, to help spread his music around the world. In February 2023, he started his own record label called Spotlite Nation and signed new gospel artists such as Chizie, Festizie, Doris Joseph and Grace Lokwa.
