FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s daughter, Jazmyne Wike, has graduated from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Jazmyne earned an Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Law and celebrated the achievement with her parents, Nyesom Wike and Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, during a graduation ceremony in Southampton on Thursday, July 22, 2026.
The ceremony attracted Nigerian politicians, including governors, party leaders and public officials from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC).

First Nigerian understands that Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri attended the ceremony alongside PDP presidential candidate Prof. Sandy Onor and PDP Board of Trustees Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.
Other attendees included PDP Deputy National Chairman (South) Aaron Chukwuemeka, Rivers State APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda, South South Development Commission Executive Director of Projects Marcus Nle Ejii, House of Representatives member Victor Obuzor and ThisNigeria Newspapers publisher Eric Osagie.

Nyesom Wike Celebrates Daughter’s Law Degree After UK Graduation
Nyesom Wike travelled to Southampton with Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike to attend their daughter’s graduation from the University of Southampton.
The graduation followed Joaquin Wike’s completion of a Master of Science degree in Management and Technology Change from King’s College London.
Family members and political associates attended Joaquin’s graduation ceremony after he completed his postgraduate programme.
Nyesom Wike became the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory in August 2023 after President Bola Tinubu appointed him following the 2023 general elections.
Before his appointment, Wike served as Rivers State governor from 2015 to 2023.
He previously held leadership positions within the Peoples Democratic Party and remained active in Nigerian politics after leaving office as governor.
