Ethan Nwaneri has emerged as a Galatasaray target, with the Turkish club exploring a move that could see the Arsenal midfielder play alongside Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray have also approached Arsenal about Gabriel Martinelli, with reports linking the Turkish club with a double deal for the two Arsenal players.
Reports from Turkey claim Galatasaray have proposed €40 million for Martinelli and a loan deal for Nwaneri worth €5 million. The proposal could include an obligation to buy Nwaneri if he reaches an agreed number of appearances.
Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli reported: “Galatasaray has submitted an official offer to Arsenal for Nwaneri, along with Martinelli.”
Nwaneri spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Marseille, where he gained regular senior football away from Arsenal.
Before that move, Nwaneri signed a new long-term Arsenal contract in August 2025. After completing the agreement, he said: “This is where I feel at home.”
A transfer to Galatasaray would place Nwaneri in the same squad as Osimhen. The Nigeria international joined Galatasaray permanently in 2025 after his previous loan spell with the club.
Nwaneri also has a connection to Nigeria through his family background. He has represented England at youth level and remains eligible to represent Nigeria under FIFA’s nationality rules.
Galatasaray must now reach an agreement with Arsenal before Nwaneri can move to Turkey. The reported proposal remains subject to negotiations between the two clubs.
