Paul Pogba could leave Monaco after the French club decided to end his contract following another injury setback, according to reports from France.
The 33-year-old joined Monaco in 2025 after serving an 18-month doping suspension. However, injuries limited him to six competitive appearances and 115 minutes for the club.
Monaco had already discussed Pogba’s future before his latest thigh injury. The club and player still need to settle the financial terms of his departure before they can complete the separation.
With Pogba heading towards free agency, several clubs could offer him another opportunity.
1. Al-Ittihad
Al-Ittihad previously pursued Pogba before he joined Monaco. The Saudi Pro League club entered the race for his signature in 2025 as Monaco negotiated with the midfielder.
That previous interest makes Al-Ittihad one of the clubs worth watching if Pogba leaves Monaco.
2. LAFC
LAFC also explored a possible deal for Pogba during his previous spell as a free agent.
The MLS club made contact over a potential move to the United States, although Pogba wanted to continue playing in Europe at the time.
A move to Los Angeles would give Pogba a route into Major League Soccer if he chooses to leave European football.
3. Marseille
Marseille considered Pogba after his departure from Juventus.
The Ligue 1 club eventually decided against signing him, while claims that Pogba had already agreed a deal with Marseille proved false.
Marseille could therefore enter the conversation again, although no current agreement links the French club with Pogba.
4. Inter Miami
Inter Miami has also featured in previous reports about Pogba’s future.
The MLS club emerged as one of the American options discussed when Pogba looked for a new team after leaving Juventus.
A move to Miami would reunite Pogba with a league that has attracted several established European players.
5. Galatasaray
Galatasaray has appeared in previous transfer reports involving Pogba.
Reports from Turkey said intermediaries offered Pogba to the Istanbul club during his earlier search for a new team.
A move to Turkey would keep Pogba in European football, although no current agreement links him with Galatasaray. Pogba could also join Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray if the Turkish club decides to pursue the former Juventus midfielder.
Pogba’s Next Move
Pogba now needs to resolve his Monaco departure before choosing his next club.
His latest injury occurred during Monaco’s pre-season training in England, adding another setback to his return after the doping suspension.
Monaco general manager Thiago Scuro had already raised the possibility of a summer review if Pogba’s comeback failed to progress.
“If it doesn’t work, for sure, the parties can sit down in the summer and have another discussion about where we go.”
Pogba’s next club will determine where he continues his career after his short Monaco spell.
