Kayode Bankole has completed his transfer to Tanzanian Premier League club Gold Geita FC after leaving South African side TS Galaxy.
According to Complete Sports, the 23-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper signed a one-year contract with Gold Geita on a free transfer.
Bankole joined TS Galaxy in 2025 after leaving former Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars when his contract expired. However, he did not make a competitive appearance for the South African club before leaving at the end of his spell.
Gold Geita secured promotion to the Tanzanian Premier League after winning the NBC Championship last season. The club previously represented Tanzania in the CAF Confederation Cup during the 2022/23 campaign.
The move marks Bankole’s latest step in a career that began in Nigerian football before taking him to South Africa and now Tanzania. The goalkeeper has also featured for the Nigeria senior national team.
Gold Geita will compete in Tanzania’s top division during the new season, with Bankole joining the squad under a one-year deal.
The transfer ends Bankole’s spell at TS Galaxy and takes the Nigerian goalkeeper into a new league after his previous club stint produced no competitive appearances.
