Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has questioned President Bola Tinubuโs educational records ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Melaye claimed that Tinubu did not submit primary and secondary school certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He also asked how Tinubu secured admission to a foreign university without the certificates he mentioned.
In a post on X, Melaye wrote: โSee what Tinubu submitted to INEC: no primary, no secondary school, no Nigerian classmate.โ
He followed the claim with a question about the documents Tinubu used to gain admission to university abroad before criticising the president.
The issue adds to the questions about Tinubuโs academic records that emerged during the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu contested the election as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
With Tinubu set to contest the 2027 presidential election, Melaye has now brought the issue back into the political discussion.
