Jerry Eze is a well-known Nigerian Pentecostal pastor, televangelist and digital prayer leader, and is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International as well as the Convener of NSPPD, a daily online prayer platform that attracts millions of views globally. He is based in Abuja, Nigeria, and in January 2026, Jerry Eze rolled out grants worth hundreds of thousands of dollars for young entrepreneurs.

Early Life and Education

Jerry Uchechukwu Eze was born on 22 August 1982 in Umuahia, a town in Abia State, Nigeria. He grew up with his mother, who raised him by herself, and they did not have money. Because of this, life was sometimes difficult, and he learned early on to stay strong and trust in God.

As a child, he was very active in his church. He liked to sing and read the Bible, and he helped out whenever he could. People in the church noticed how dedicated he was, and a kind couple decided to support him by helping pay for his education.

He attended Ibeku High School in Umuahia (1991–1997) and later studied History and International Relations at Abia State University (ABSU), where he also served as pastor of the All Saints Chapel.

Eze further pursued postgraduate studies, with sources reporting either a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

Before entering full-time ministry, he worked in communications with a World Bank project about HIV and AIDS and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Family and Marriage

Pastor Jerry Eze is married to Eno Ebele Jerry, who was born Ene-Obong. She is a pastor, author and human-resource professional. She also has strong academic qualifications, including an MBA, a master’s degree, and she is currently doing a PhD in Human Resource Management.

Eno is very active in Streams of Joy International, where she leads prayer initiatives and is also the author of the book I Almost Ruined My Marriage.

They got married on 17th March 2007 after meeting earlier in life, and their marriage is often shared as a testimony in their ministry.

The couple has two children. Their daughter is named Samara, and their son is Jerry Jr.

Starting the Ministry and Church

Jerry Eze’s formal ministry began in 2009 while he was still associated with All Saints Chapel at Abia State University, where he served in pastoral and evangelistic roles. This campus ministry experience helped him develop leadership, teaching, and outreach skills.

In 2013, after leaving his secular career to answer what he described as a clear calling to full-time ministry, Eze founded Streams of Joy International in Umuahia, Abia State. The church started with a small fellowship and grew steadily into a charismatic, prayer-focused ministry.

Over time, it expanded to include multiple branches not only across Nigeria but also in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The church emphasises vibrant worship, prophetic declarations, healing, and practical discipleship.

Launching NSPPD

Pastor Jerry Eze is the founder and Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International Church. He is best known for New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), a digital prayer platform that streams daily sessions on YouTube and social media.

NSPPD started during the COVID-19 lockdowns as a simple online prayer meeting. It quickly grew into a global digital ministry. By the end of 2025, it had become one of the most-watched channels on YouTube, pulling in tens of millions of watch hours from viewers tuning in from across Africa and the diaspora.

In January 2026, Pastor Eze announced a big empowerment programme for Nigerian youths and young entrepreneurs. The plan is to share about US $300,000 in grants. It will support 100 people working in agriculture, technology and manufacturing. Each person is expected to get at least US $3,000.

An independent body will handle the selection and payment process to keep things transparent. There are also talks that support from partners could push the total amount higher.

Beyond its spiritual focus, NSPPD has become a major digital force, with millions of subscribers, hundreds of millions of lifetime views, and daily broadcasts centred on prayer, faith declarations and testimonies of breakthrough.

Streaming Platforms

YouTube is the main place people watch Pastor Jerry Eze online. His official channel streams sermons, prayer meetings and live services regularly. This includes Sunday services, Thanksgiving services and the popular NSPPD live prayers.

He also shares both live and recorded services like The Emergence of Pattern Breakers. These videos pull in massive views from people all over the world. The channel is really the heart of his online ministry. You will find daily prayers, worship sessions, prophetic declarations and teachings there.

The official websites are another key option. NSPPD Live, which runs through Streams of Joy International, streams daily prayer meetings and church services directly.

You can join services as they happen or watch previous ones later. The Streams of Joy website also has a Watch Live section for services and special events. These sites are closely linked to his wider digital setup and connect easily with YouTube and social media updates.

Into audio? SoundCloud is a good place to check some of Pastor Jerry Eze’s sermons and prayer recordings. It’s handy if you just want to listen while you’re out.

There is also an official WhatsApp channel. This is where followers get daily prayer points, prophetic words, ministry updates and reminders about upcoming live streams. It is very active and easy to follow.

His ministry is also on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X. These aren’t the main places to watch full services; they mostly share short clips and updates. You’ll see highlights and live stream alerts there. Most of the time, they just point people back to YouTube or the official website.

Public Opinion and Criticism

People talk a lot about Pastor Jerry Eze’s lifestyle, especially after a video of him driving a 2025 Range Rover went viral. Some fans say he’s earned it and can enjoy his blessings, while critics think pastors should stay humble and not show off. It’s basically the same old Nigerian debate about wealth and faith.

Then there’s the controversy over a supposed healing miracle at his NSPPD event in the UK. Some people said it looked staged and questioned why similar miracles don’t happen in Nigeria. Jerry Eze responded by saying he doesn’t have time for detractors and is focused on ministry. The whole thing split people into believers who celebrated it and sceptics who called it publicity.

Even other pastors have criticised him. Pastor Abel Damina slammed Eze’s catchphrase “What God cannot do does not exist,” calling it theologically wrong and even suggesting some miracles are staged. That sparked a big online fight, with many Nigerians defending Eze and accusing Damina of jealousy or misunderstanding.

His sermons also get reactions online, sometimes negative. For example, one social media user complained that Eze generalised about men in Abuja and demanded an apology, which triggered mixed responses from followers.

On Reddit, people are split. Some say his ministry is too money-focused. Others think it feels cult-like.

Jerry Eze himself says being a pastor is weird because the same message can be helpful to one person and offensive to another. He also points out that pastors get judged whether they’re wealthy or modest, showing he knows people are always watching and forming opinions.

Net Worth

Pastor Jerry Eze’s net worth and earnings are put at around 2 million US dollars. That is roughly 3 to 4 billion naira. This figure usually includes assets and income from YouTube, church activities, books and speaking engagements, ministry donations, offerings and international speaking fees.

A big part of his public earnings comes from his YouTube channel. The channel streams prayer sessions and other religious content and attracts a very large audience.

According to analytics platforms like Playboard, the channel has generated over 10.7 billion naira in total revenue by 2025. That is about 7 million US dollars. This number represents gross platform earnings, not what he personally takes home.

The revenue comes from several sources on YouTube. These include adverts, Super Chat payments during live streams, channel memberships and other monetisation features.

For 2025, estimates suggest the channel earns about 1.9 million naira per day on average. Weekly earnings are estimated at around 140 million naira. Annual YouTube revenue for that year is put at roughly 11.18 billion naira, or about 7.8 million US dollars.

Houses and Cars

Pastor Jerry Eze is often seen in luxury SUVs, especially a 2024 Range Rover Vogue and even a 2025 Range Rover, which is worth hundreds of millions of naira.

He has also gifted brand-new cars to people in his ministry, like choir members, as a way of rewarding their service. And then there was a social media video that went viral showing him arriving at a big real estate event in a private jet. In the clip, he steps out with others, and a luxury car, reported to be a Rolls-Royce, is seen at the scene.

On houses and real estate, Jerry Eze lives in a high-end residential area in Abuja, often described as a luxury home in Katampe Extension.

One thing he’s really known for is donating houses to widows. For his 42nd birthday in August 2024, he reportedly built and handed over 18 houses to widows across different Nigerian cities like Calabar, Warri, Minna, Owerri, and more. These homes were fully furnished and given free of charge. Aside that, there are reports of him giving individual housing gifts to widows in states like Ondo.
